When Dhurandhar released on December 5, 2025, one of the film’s breakout stars was its music. Composer Shashwat Sachdev’s soundtrack was a love letter to some of India’s biggest yesteryear melodies, from “Na To Caravan Ki Talash Hai” to “Ramba Ho.” But he also pulled existing tracks to round out the score, including Doja Cat’s “AAAHH MEN!” (2025) and Bahraini rapper Flipperachi’s “Fa9la” (2024).
The latter, picturized on Akshaye Khanna’s Rahman Dakait as he enters a Baloch camp, took on a life of its own. Whether it was the swagger, the shehnai and tabla, or the satisfaction of the beat drop, “Fa9la” soon became an anthem that Bollywood fans globally couldn’t get enough of. Creators tried to dissect why the song was such a hit (Flipperachi has his own theory), with now over 5.7 million videos featuring the song on Instagram alone.
We sat down with the man himself — a new father! — to chat about the sudden fame, his musical influences, and what he’s most excited about ahead of his first Indian tour.
